“One of the more interesting and inventive ideas we’ve seen recently in the realm of showing off fades is the World Tour concept, in which a pair of jeans is literally passed around the world being worn by a number of people who each photograph them. Brotherhood of the travelling pants may have been another of the names thrown around before world tour was settled upon.

Recently, the team behind 3sixteen decided to come onboard with the world tour concept taking inspiration from SuperFuture‘s success with the Flat Head 3001 World Tour. They’ve chosen the ST-120X in a 32 for their World Tour, and if you’re interested you can get involved in their Reddit thread where the contact information is readily available.

Full details are contained within the thread but the general idea is this: 3sixteen sends out the jean and belt who wear them for 1-2 months, during which time the wearer photographs the jeans in day-to-day life. At the end of the period, the wearer gives them a cold wash, signs the pocketbag and mails them to the next in line. The process is simple and hygenic, and gives the final product a very interesting life story.”

A collaboration between Iron Heart and Self Edge, the Xs634sXwere made exclusively for Self Edge and are based on the original 634S model. Without a doubt, the most notable quality present is the paraffin coating. Although the paraffin will not waterproof the jeans forever, it will repel water for a good duration of time and, interestingly enough, inhibit any shrinking effects.

From a personal standpoint, along with the dark flannel lining, the combination of the red and yellow stitching on the seams and back pockets add a vibrant contrast and character to the deep indigo color of these pants.
